O’BANNON’S is your place to “PADDY HARD” this St Patrick’s Day!
This year St Paddy's falls on Thursday, March 17th and we are bringing back the street festival after a year off.
Here is the rundown:
WEDNESDAY, 16th:
We begin shutting down Boyett St at noon and setting up our 60ft tent. The pub opens at 4pm.
At 8pm we host our weekly TRIVIA! Seriously, we have the BEST trivia in town. It's loads of fun!
After trivia the outside tent opens up and we will have a DJ playing until late night. Everyone packs in the pub at midnight as we watch the count down clock hit 00:00:00:00 and we start pouring green beer!
THURSDAY, 17th: The pub opens at 7am!
We have full day lined up of Live Music, the Great Guinness Relay, Pour Your Own Pint, special beer releases from Blackwater Draw Brewing and of course the STREET FESTIVAL!
INSIDE:
WE OPEN AT 7am and start pulling pints and spiking your coffee with Irish whiskey. Like mimosas? We will have complementary mimosas while supplies last. Breakfast will be available beginning at 10am as well (eggs, ham, bangers, potatoes, baked beans).
From 9am-12pm we will give your the opportunity to learn how to pour your own pint of Guinness! You'll get a souvenir glass too!
At 11am join us in our annual St. Patrick's Day morning TOAST to kick off the day!
At 12pm BWD Bites food truck will be here serving food all day!
We also have events planned throughout the day. We don't know their schedule yet but we usually get frequent visits from Tullamore Dew, Jameson, and this year we will be featuring a new Irish whiskey to the pub: Knockmore Irish Whiskey! They'll definitely be here handing out hats, shirts and necklaces!
At 3pm Blackwater Draw Brewing Co. will be at the pub. You can meet the brewer and try ‘Pot of Gold’ ( Mulligan w/ actual shiny glitter in it making it sparkle like gold).
OUTSIDE: Tent opens at 11am
BWD Bites food truck will be on site serving up delicious food (menu coming soon). You can expect to see bagpipers, DJs, and live music from Hell's Belles, an all female AC/DC tribute band! This band ROOOOOOOOCKS! We've seen them once before and had to get them here for this Paddy's Day celebration. You WON'T be disappointed!
We've got all the green beer you can handle. We will not run out. Guinness? That's our #1 seller at the pub. We sell more Guinness than anywhere in TEXAS! We are known for it. Guinness takes pride in their beer and how it's poured and we take pride in following that standard.
O'Bannon's has one of the BEST St Patrick's Day parties in TEXAS! We were even visited by the Guinness Book of World Records!
